Preparing for World Tai Chi Day

On Saturday April 26 2008 the 10th annual
world gathering of Tai Chi players from 60 nations upon 6 continents will take
place to celebrate World Tai Chi Day. This gathering will be the largest in
history with millions of Tai Chi practitioners going into parks to practice
this ancient Chinese art.
Each year more and more people are
enjoying this massive event. Swindon will be no exception. Tai Chi instructor
Graham Pritchard is preparing his students to show forms from the famous Yang
and Sun styles of Tai Chi.
The event will take place in
Swindon's beautiful Town Gardens from 2.00pm-3.00pm (near the Westlecott Road Entrance). People are welcome to come and
watch or take part in a free "taster session".
Graham says: "Tai Chi has never been
so popular and people of all ages and abilities are flooding to my classes. In
our stressful modern age the practice of Tai Chi offers a time of calm, rest
and gentle exercise that can aid health, uplift one emotionally and encourage a
calm and centred response to life and its challenges."
